One of the things I find most fascinating about crystals is the range of colors and finishes. A few years ago I foolishly asked a vendor to send me one gross of each of the 4mm bicones they had in stock. The bill almost knocked me out, but I now realize it was a very good investment. All the packages were labeled with the name and I began a sample card of three of each 4mm color I had. Since then I've continued to add crystals whenever I find a new color or new coating and have accumulated more than 350 colors. I've sewed them to sample cards and labeled each and they now serve as a great reference when I'm choosing colors for a project. Of course, some colors become very difficult to find, but one can always search with google using the style, color name and size.
I lots of color of different color of crystals, which is when I came up with the idea of making a picture out of crystals. With lighter shades of color, and then being able to blend from one color to the next.
