I tried searching for it also...and cannot find any source. I think this might be something that is more readily available in Europe.
You might try a Christmas Tree farm ... one that has a lot of hay bales, or a Florist might have something similar that can be made flexible by soaking, or use a completely different material...perhaps plain plastic drinking straws, or ribbon that has been stiffened with starch or diluted white glue? It won't have the same rustic, European look; however I am certain it will look lovely!
If anyone else finds a resource for these straws, please let us know!!!!
Sparkles and smiles,
Diane

How to make Swarovski's "Christmas decoration angel"
I am trying to make the "Christmas Decoration Angel" featured on Swarovski's "Create Your Style" Web site. The instructions require "13 pieces Handycraft straw, diameter 5 natural". I cannot find this straw in any craft shop near me (St. Louis, Missouri, USA) or on any Web site. Does anyone know where I can find this type of straw for weaving? Thank you.
