Firstly, many thanks to our Admin for the opportunity to review these gorgeous new books. I'm sure I speak for all those lucky enough to have copies that they are certainly a delightful addition to our visual and creative resource materials.

Bead & Wire Jewelry Exposed is a resource book that aims to explore the variety of creative uses that can be applied to both flexible beading wire and hard metal wires. The designers use a variety of skills, techniques and materials to motivate us to think "outside of the square" . By playing with materials and exploring their boundaries the 3 key designers being Margot Potter, Fernando Da Silva & Katie Hacker have created a number of simple but effective pieces with a "twist" on the norm.

Essentially the book contains design ideas suitable for those working at a beginner to intermediate level but with some imagination &  passion the advanced designer can take away some of these techniques to create  show stopping pieces. 

The book really pushes the vast range of Beadalon products and the clever design layout allows us a "behind the scenes" glimpse at the tips & tricks we as designers can use to extend ourselves beyond our regular safety zones.

What I like:

• Well set out into Chapters with a Contents page
• Nice clear step by step photos and easy to follow written instructions
• Sections containing an assortment of materials, general design information & useful tips
• An Index -after all there are 144 pages
• A broad spectrum of design ideas

My favourite "new" design techniques:

• Galactic Waves by Fernando DaSilva (twisting beading wire)
• Dazzle by Margot Potter (new uses of memory wire)
• Night Sky by Katie Hacker (securing beading wire with closures)

So, all in all a super resource book. Loads of eye catching crystals for the Swarovski fans, fab new techniques & and an eye opening array of uses for Beadalon products.
