Ok Jacky started another topic. I under stand how it works and how to use it. But I haven't received any notifications as of yet about jacky's comment she's left me.
Is the notification sent via e-mail? Private message here? OR on the "my community" page? I see the notification there... maybe i'm answering my own question.. i think i am = )

you are now automatically subscribed to the content you created: so
if somebody leaves a comment to your profile page, your design page or
a forum thread you created, you will be informed via email.
additionally subscribing to others' content works now to!
we found the bug in the system - and guess what? - we FIXED IT! yeah

subscribing to the page is equivalent to subscribing to a thread - so if answers pile up and we will have to create more pages, you will still be informed. (unfortunaltey, we cannot change the wording, because the "subscription-module" serves on every content type and "thread" wouldn't make sense on a design-page, would it? ;)
you can select all of the options offered! one will not affect another choice!

Is anyone else having a problem changing their account? I have been trying to change the "receive e-mails" function and every time I try I get a message showing that my user name has already been registered. I also noticed on this page that my birthday is incorrect, but when I try to change that I receive the same message.
Admin, if you need I have screen captures of the message.
I would like to receive e-mail messages when someone leaves a comment, or when I use the subscription function.

SUBSCRIBE Functionality
I have heard that some of you have troubles using the new, over-the-top, edgy, simply wonderful "subscribe-functionality" on the end of some pages.
This feature allows you to stay up2date with the activities in the online community: if you subscribe to a certain content type you will receive notifications to your e-mail address, if something happened.
An example:
If you decided to subscribe for the Wired Square Ring (http://community.create-your-style.com/node/173)
the system enables you to be notified of actions of the following kind:
(be informed about all new designs)
(be informed if cysadmin creates a new design)
(be informed if a new design was posted in the jewellry-category, but not if it was an accessory, or packaging,...)
(be informed if a new design was posted in the jewellry-category by cysadmin)
