It's been whirlwind fun here in Tucson and most of it revolving around the Swarovski Create Your Style Event. I've taught two classes both well attended with many Diamond Weave pendants and Timeless Pearl bracelets being finished in class.
The Swarovski Ambassador room, new this year was a showcase of many different talents and styles. I was a big fan of the felted pieces done by Pat Reisenburger which combined the sparkle of crystal on a backdrop of beautifully colored felt. Another unexpected combination was Brenda Schweder's steel wire pieces combined with crystal.
We were treated to a trend presentation which introduced the many new shapes and colors. Personal favorites, the new ellipse pendant and the one and two holed column beads. The gemstone pearls in graduated sizes will also be a fun element to add to our design repertoires.
One last day of Tucson shopping and it will be time to say good bye to friends until we meet again.
