I agree with Diane and wish you all a big welcome. This is a wonderful world of friendship and sharing worldwide and we all love newcomers to participate with us. Noel (edith cavell)
Welcome Newcomers!
WONDERFUL WORLD OF FRIENDSHIP
I'm a newbee
Hello everyone!
I've only just joined CREATE YOUR STYLE and I am really excited to network with people who enjoy using swarovski elements as much as I do. I really look forward to meeting lots of new people and seeing all the different levels and techniques people use.
I live in Wales, UK, but I am originally from New York State, USA.I have been making and crafting since I was very small because I had poor fine motor skills. I love using Swarovski elements because I think they hold an elegance of thier own, and I feel that they really enhance my designs. I'd like to know how other members got into using Swarovski elements, and if anyone can remember their first design using Swarovski!
So glad you popped in!
Rasberrykrafts..bet there is a fun story to your screen name! Welcome!
I'm so glad you have joined our group, and come into our Chit-Chat area to say hello.
I'll bet your fine motor skills are quite improved now! You had a very smart Mom (or teacher) to get you started on crafts to improve your motor skills.
We are members from all over the world, so I'm sure you will meet many new friends here. I'm in California, and I DO remember my very first Swarovski design. It was quite ambitious, because it was a purse...but I had been beading my purses with acrylic bicone shapes before that and decided as soon as I saw the Swarovski Elements that I HAD to make a purse with them. This was in 2002, and when I say it changed my life, I am not exaggerating! I've been hooked ever since.
So...how did you get from New York to Wales? Are you now a permanent UK resident? We've had a couple of members from the UK, but I think you are our first from Wales.
Looking forward to getting to know you, and your designs, better.
Sparkles and smiles,
Diane
The "Techniques" area of the web-site
First let me say what an incredibly helpful and inspiring web-site! While looking around (I'm very new) I noticed that within the "Let's Get Started" part, specifically "other techniques", the "Loom Weaving" video doesn't show loom weaving. Instead it shows a series of three rings being beaded. Where should I report thia sort of thing? Or should I? Any help is appreciated!!
Welcome
Hi dolfngilrs3,
a warm welcome in our Sparkling Community!
Thank you for the information about the "Loom Weaving" Video - you can post such infos here in the forum and/or send a message to cysadmin.
We will change the video as soon as possible.
Sparkling smiles, yours cysadmin
Hello , my dear everyone !
親愛的水晶會員大家好 ! : )
自從加入會員已經一年多 , 也常看會員間的討論與對話 !
不過 ... 由於 CREATE YOUR STYLE with Swarovski Element
Hello Mao Bang,
I've seen your designs, they are beautiful and unique.
I speak/read both English and Chinese. I would say
don't worry too much about making mistakes. As long
as people understand what you're saying, that's good.
Also your jewelry and photos speak for themselves.
I personally don't mind people using their native
languages. If others are curious, they can use
google translator to figure out.
Monica
Good day to you Mao Bang-Chen
I've been spying... In your profile and your designs are lovely- lol!
I have had a fascination with people who can sew with all those tiny beads and create wonderous things forever. (I am jealous actually)
Your style is very romantic and elegant...I admire the technique.

Welcome Newcomers!
If you've stopped in here from the CREATE YOUR STYLE with Swarovski Elements Facebook Page...Welcome! we hope you will tell us a little about yourselves. This is the place where we get to know each other, share creative inspirations (all with Swarovski Elements, of course) and make new friends, real friends.
I've been a member of the Sparkling Community since its inception, and I've made new friends from all over the world! I've even met some of these friends IRL. While Facebook might be about how many friends you make, this Community is about the quality of friends you can make. Because we all share a love of Swarovski Elements, we have a common basis for our friendships. And because we all have to be members to chat with each other, we don't have a bunch of strangers looking over our shoulders at what we say!
So...welcome! Hope you will write a little about yourself, and we'll get the conversation started.
Till then,
Sparkles and smiles,
Diane
