- About me
- I'm Betcey, from high up in the mountains of Colorado. I've been beading for close to 30 years (eek), and selling beads and crystals as Beyond Beadery for a living since 1986. Started out with a little bead store in Woodstock, NY, and am now living in the middle of nowhere, selling beads online and traveling to beads shows around the country. My husband Mark works the business with me, and we have a 19 year old daughter, Taija, who's a sophomore in college.
- Experience and Creativity
- I'm a total Swarovski snob and can spot a psuedo-Swarovski Czech or Chinese crystal from 50 paces! Ok, I jest . . . my eyesight isn't what it used to be, let's make that 20 paces. ;-) I'm at heart a seed beader and love capturing Swarovski Rivolis and stones with tiny seed beads to create pendants. You can see one of my more recent Swarovski / seed bead pieces in the book "Beading with Crystals" by Lark Books.
- Hobbies and Interests
- I'm particularly fanatic about collecting vintage Swarovski crystal beads and stones and am forever in search of the elusive Art. 5207 or 5401 or colors and effects I've never heard of.

I too am somewhat of a swarovski snob - I think we all are in this group! I have only a few Vintage crystals, but I'm anxious to learn more about them as well as the gorgeous new ones that come out. Hope to see more of your work!

I don't have the patience so far to do the intricate work like you have done on this cuff, it is beautiful. I don't know how you do it, I wish I could. I want to develop a website also. I am physically unable to do shows. I want to start doing a few home shows to get started and bring in some income. One of these days maybe....
